Types of Specialty Care if eligible:

    The State of Texas offers veterans’ extra health care assistance.

        • Mental Health: Some of the programs the State of Texas offers are Military Veteran Peer Networks and Justice Involved Veterans. For more information visit https://www.tvc.texas.gov/mental-health/ or the nearest VA/VS office.
        • Health Care Advocacy Program is a liaison program to assist veterans resolve issues involving VA health care. For more information visit https://www.tvc.texas.gov/health-care-advocacy/ or the nearest VA/VS office

    Veterans can be eligible for benefits even if they have not received VA compensation. Visit https://www.va.gov/health-care/eligibility/ for more information or the nearest VA/VS office.
